Q: How is Talk and Walk Therapy different from traditional therapy in your office?

You receive the same quality counseling experience, the only difference is that we conduct the session outdoors while walking.

Q: How long is the Talk and Walk Session?

Sessions are 50 minutes in length. We begin and end on time so it is best to arrive  in your sneakers or other comfortable walking shoes. In the event of inclement weather or you just don't feel like walking that day, our session will be held in the office or can be done virtually.

Q. Is this a cardio workout or personal training?

While clients set the walking pace, Talk and Walk Therapy is not personal training. Our focus is on your processing the discussion which occurs and not on the exercise being experienced. Walking stimulates blood flow to the brain while burning a few calories as an added benefit!

Q. What about my confidentiality?

If by chance we encounter someone you know, I will follow your lead and will never compromise your confidentiality. It is up to you to acknowledge me as your therapist if you chose to do so.

Q. Are other services offered besides Talk & Walk Therapy?

Absolutely! Traditional therapy sessions are also offered at the Fox Chapel office location in Aspinwall, as well as virtual sessions using a HIPPA compliant platform - Call or email Kathy to schedule or get more information.
